How to count poker outs
Enter your hole cards and the flop or turn. Review the best-effort draw detection and outs count, or enter a manual outs count, then compare next-card and by-river probabilities.
An improving card is not always a winning card: an opponent may make a stronger hand. Use outs as a study aid, then consider the board and opponent range.
Does every out guarantee a win?
No. An out may improve your hand while also improving an opponent’s hand.
Are the rule of two and rule of four exact?
No. They are rough shortcuts. Exact probabilities depend on known cards and the number of cards still to come.
